Willie's Wild Weed and Mushroom Tour
Willie Nelson's public statement regarding being caught with a bag of Marijuana earlier this week:
"It's a good thing I had a bag of Marijuana instead of a bag of spinach. I'd be dead by now."

Willie is a National Treasure for a bunch of reasons. One of which is that he is The Last Great American Cowboy.
With the meth problem booming, some
idiot goes after Willie for a bag of weed. Guy must have needed a quality point for his career.
Amen doctor wu. All the major issues plaguing our country today and they have to beat up Willie for a bag of weed. I love his spinach comment though. It brings to mind indentured servants crapping in the spinach feilds because their not allowed to break away to find a more appropriate place ( to crap ). It "has" been traced back to California last I heard. hmmm.....
Dont recall anyone ever getting sick or dying from e-coli tainted Marijuana and I...um...hear, that it makes a tasty spinach alternation for salads. :O
We have a police sub-station in our neighborhood with cruisors passing by on the hour and I still see worse mischeif than that from my window. Go figure.
The "Blue Meanies" should allow the growing of one plant in your yard for personal use. Maybe two if you can demonstrate a medical necessity. What do you think?
In my experience as a Nurse I have, on Doctors orders, administered some scarry pharmaceutical medications with worse side effects than Marijuana and have even seen people die, yes die, from adverse reactions. Sometimes I think its getting better but there is still alot of abuse going on. It's caused me to be extraordinarily cautious and subsequently unpopular. Dont mess with people's Pharmaceutical gig man. Sheesh!
Will we ever see the day when they leave Willie the hell alone. I'm feeling the need for an ode from the vigil keeper. Or a hug or something.......oh well.
VIVA LA WILLIE NELSON!

If he had dried and smoked the spinach, it would have been just as safe.

He was ratted out on the Colbert Report by Toby Keith. He admitted to smoking pot once..on Willie's bus. "It's just something you have to do when on Willie's Bus". That was about a week before the bust. I guess someone else watches comedy central.
I saw that interveiw with Toby Keith. It concerned me. I thought for sure Willie and his posse would clean out the bus though. Maybe they didnt see the interveiw. Toby was being a tad bit to casual about it. Was kind of juvenile to "brag" and broadcast on National Television about such a thing. Surely it wasnt intentional. Maybe Willie should implement a screening process for the inner sanctum. We live and learn.....CAREFUL WILLIE!
